Open Club Positions

The net control operator runs the net. All traffic is passing through the net control operator. A script is provided for guidance on check ins, program content and recording playback. Currently looking to fill the net control operator for the fifth Thursday of the month. That would be four nets per year. A technician class license or better is required.

This position acts as a liaison with various public events. Announcing events and requirements for positions are primarily done via club meeting presentations and the eMitter. Strong organizational skills are a plus.

The president of the club prepares the agenda for the monthly club meetings and presides over them. A monthly board report is prepared and delivered on the third Thursday of the net. Acts as host to the monthly club meetings. Participates in executive action activities requiring special board approval.

This position coordinates/delegates the activities for the fourth weekend in June. The ability to delegate is a great attribute needed to successfully navigate the number one club activity. One person is required. If two step up, the opportunity to succeed is greatly enhanced. Past experience or participating in the planning is a plus. Knowledge of running zoom meetings is a bonus. Organizational skills are extremely helpful.

As part of the NSRC communications team it will be your task to send press releases to media outlets for major club events like Field Day. This includes News Papers, Local TV stations and other outlets. Previous media experience would be a plus but not necessary.

If you have some writing experience or want to get your feet wet in the field of writing, we want you. Become part of the NSRC communications team and provide content for our club web site and newsletter. Maybe you have a special interest related to our hobby you think would be great for others to know of. You can have your own web page or column in the newsletter.
