Hams in the park on Saturday March 8th, 2025
The day started a bit cold with temperatures just below freezing, but by 2:00pm the sun was out in full force, and it warmed up significant. Unfortunately, the wind picked up after 3:30pm and it got a bit uncomfortable. However, we had a total of up to 5 stations on the air and some club members showed up to lend support. All in all it was a nice activity and we are looking forward to the next time.
That will be on April 12th at the same location.

Should the weather be bad we will do it a week later.
Hams in the park on Saturday April 12th, 2025
The next Hams in the Park activity is planned for April 12th. Should it rain we will postpone to April 19th.
More details to come here at this page.
April will be a dedicated QRP activity for stations with 10W or less. If you do not have a 10W radio just turn your power down to 10 watt. You will be surprised how far you can get.
The idea is to set up a station in this location without the comfort of your home. No power, no problem, bring a battery. Set up a temporary antenna and a radio and have some fun.
Learn how to improvise and how to set up a station in less-than-ideal conditions. Even if you don’t have a radio come by and see what we are up to. Maybe team up with someone and help setting up or taking it down.
There is no pressure or any requirements for a minimum QSO count.
Ample free parking, benches and tables.
10W or less in April, June and August.
This year we will set three months aside for low power operation. Please limit your output power on these days to 10W or less. You will be surprised how much you can accomplish even with lower power.
Hams in the Park 2024
