Happy New Year!  I am humbled by your confidence in my abilities to take over as club president.  I have some pretty big shoes to fill, given Rob, K9RST’s significant contributions over the last decade and more. Fortunately, he will still be around for support and institutional knowledge.

We begin our 40th year as NSRC, and with your help and participation, this should be a great year.  Our December auction was an outstanding success and leaves us on sound financial footing going forward into the new year.

I have spent the last several months listening to ideas from club members and supported by our club survey in November, these ideas and findings will continue to shape future initiatives.

One of my long-range goals is to create more social interaction among the membership by developing an environment where all members will find plenty of activities, they would like to more actively participate in.  Our club is very diverse, and that diversity is one of our key strengths. From informative monthly meetings, to build club activities that are technically stimulating, to social outings and events where everyone can feel a true sense of belonging, your participation is key. After all, this is your club, and it’s worth is measured by your satisfaction.  I continue to want to hear what you think.  So, please feel free to drop me a line at KR9T@arrl.net
